CYCZ is the Columbia Valley’s Public Airport

The Fairmont Hot Springs Airport, CYCZ, is located in Fairmont Hot Springs in the Columbia Valley of British Columbia.

Fairmont Hot Springs airport is home to a 6,000 foot runway that welcomes all aircraft up to and including Boeing 737s year-round.

For many, the airport is seen as an essential service in the Columbia Valley. The airport is currently used for medical evacuations, wild fires, search and rescue, and personal aircraft purposes.

During an active fire season, it is common to see eight to 15 helicopters at the airport on a daily basis. Many of which are based at the airport for two months.

The airport is the only facility between Golden and Cranbrook that offers the option for full service twenty-four (24) hours a day.
